SPIRIT OF SPORT AWARD WINNER
SECONDARY SCHOOLS COACH OF THE YEAR

Tim Clayton - Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School

"If you peel back the many layers of sport in London and surrounding area, you will find Tim Clayton. For Mother Teresa Catholic Secondary School, Tim Clayton is a source of knowledge and inspiration for students and staff alike. As head of physical education and director of the Western Ontario Secondary Schools Athletic Association (WOSSAA), the work he performs provides students with an opportunity to participate in sports.

Tim has been a high school physical education and biology teacher for 26 years. Tim represents WOSSAA as the Chair of Boy’s Athletics on the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations (OFSAA) Executive Board and has been a long-serving convener for various sports in Thames Valley Regional Athletics (TVRA) and WOSSAA. By coaching football, hockey, soccer, badminton, golf, and skiing he has been extremely successful at teaching values we want our youth to demonstrate in both sport and life. Tim is a role model for a strong work ethic and a healthy lifestyle while at the same time, advocating for all athletes in TVRA and WOSSAA.

Congratulations Tim and thank you for your commitment to our athletes!"
