The Virtual Exhibition is worth the navigating to click on each of our students' prints and read their explanations. Amazing work, Warriors and kudos to art teacher Ms. Johnston for directing this project!
In the news... The Woodstock Sentinel News that is!
The Visual Arts & Media at St. Mary's Catholic High School focus students on developing their skills through exciting projects in a wide range of media. Students begin with classical drawing techniques that form a basis for the development of work based on their own passions. The program is enhanced by workshops with professional artists, specialized fieldtrips as well as our semi annual trip to New York. These programs are further supported through the Arts and Culture High Skills Major Program where students are offered experience through specialized co-op programs, additional certifications and employment opportunities. Senior students leave with a professional portfolio demonstrating a broad range of skills with an underlying knowledge of current artistic practices.
The visual art students have been working hard through the pandemic and wanted to share the work they have been doing to amaze and entertain you!! Here, you will see only a few art works done by some of our senior students. If you want to see more completed work by both visual artists and media art students please visit the links below and look for the "learning from home" tile:
